This case was from an injury in 2012 which came to our office in 2015 with an offer of $80,000. It involved a young man who was injured before the age of 30 and what was initially primarily a foot injury developed into severe RSD which resulted in a partial leg amputation. It took a great deal of time with long settlement conferences with the defense for them to realize the long term cost and value of the case. The case eventually settled with a structure settlement yielding over 3.3 Million with a present value of over 2 Million. While the insurance company came to the table many times over the years. First with a $100,000 then with $750,000, the medical costs and continued expenses with UR and IMR with our office appealing every denial of care finally got the insurance company to come to the table with a very reasonable figure.
