Injured Worker v. LAUSD/SIBTF

The injured worker suffered a work-related injury on a cumulative trauma basis while working for Los Angeles Unified School District from 1997 to 2013 to his neck, back, shoulder, and thumb.   His case was resolved in 2018 by compromise and release for $115,000.  After settlement, the injured worker pursued a case with subsequent injuries fund for his hypertension, heart arrhythmias, Gout, Dermatitis, cubital tunnel, and vision. We obtained an award for 100% from the Subsequent Injury Benefit Trust fund, which entitled him to $307,138.28 in back money and $1358.12 per week plus a cost of living increase for the rest of his life.
