Injured Worker v. Canyon Pest Control, SIBTF

The injured worker sustained work related injury on 02/22/2018 affecting his cervical spine, lumbar spine, bilateral shoulders, right wrist, right knee, and left ankle he also experienced headaches, memory issues and upper GI symptoms. This was settled on 02/09/2023 for 76% disability with future medical care open.

Following his workers’ compensation settlement, on 02/10/2023, Silberman & Lam, LLP filed for subsequent injury benefits trust fund (SIBTF) on behalf of the injured worker as he is suffering preexisting health conditions including colitis, nephrolithiasis, right inguinal hernia, vasectomy, and insomnia. As a result, the injured worker was entitled to back benefits of $60,292, and ongoing weekly benefits amounting to $295.66. Based on the average life expectancy, the award has an estimated value of $500,000.
