The injured worker suffered a cumulative trauma injury from 12/1/1980-5/6/11 while working as a video editor for KABC channel 7 to his spine, left shoulder, psych and hearing which settled by compromise and release for $70,000 on June 11, 2020. After settlement of the workers compensation claim, an SIBTF claim was filed by Silberman & Lam, LLP. The applicant had pre-existing conditions including heart, kidneys, headaches and his left hand. An agreement was eventually reached with SIBTF for an award of 100% disability. The applicant was entitled to back benefits of $392,585.99 and ongoing benefits of $1497.68 per week increasing each year with a COLA for life.
