The injured worker suffered a cumulative trauma injury from 01/01/1984-5/26/2015 for injuries including hypertension, liver disease and orthopedic injuries which settled by Compromise and Release for $67,500 on on October 1, 2019 due to her employment with Long Beach Memorial Hospital.  After settlement of the workers compensation claim, an SIBTF claim was filed by Silberman & Lam, LLP.  The applicant had pre-existing injury to her finger, sinuses, hemorrhoids and thyroid disease.   After some prolonged litigation an agreement was reached with SIBTF for an award at 100% disability.  The applicant was entitled to back benefits of $167,080.69 and ongoing benefits of $715.11 per week increasing each year with a COLA for life less some offsets for the workers compensation permanent disability and social security disability.
