The injured worker suffered a specific injury while working for Whittier Hospital Medical Center as a nurse on 7/16/2014. As a result of that injury, she obtained an award for her hand, wrist, shoulder and neck for 50% disability. She had pre-existing disabilities in the form of hypertension, paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, hemorrhoids and her uterus. She was able to obtain a 100% award from SIBTF on 9/7/2022. This resulted in payment of past due benefits of $369,900.87 and ongoing benefits of $1499.73 plus a cost of living increase each year for life.
